A Persuasive Essay about Greek mythology

                                                


          Should we need to learn the greek mythology?? why we should have to read the different stories about it?? why do you think that mythology is important to all of us??

                Greek mythology is about the stories and different gods and goddesses that worship of another people in other countries like Greece, it is all about the different gods and goddesses that where they offer there prayer, Greek mythology is also a compilation of the Ancient Greek stories that are based on their culture and practices. It's also about their gods and heroes, as well as their origins. Each of the Greek myths has a moral lessons through the stories that are written. I think it is important that we should know about it, because what if we travel and visit there country we should have know what is there religion and culture also there beliefs that's why we need  to learn the greek mythology to learn other culture and religion, it is also important to discuss it into the students in the high school and grade school, because to educate their selves to know the other countries culture and beliefs.

There is something uniquely different about each of the Greek myth, each have their own message that it wants to deliver. Take the example of the Greek myth Athena and Arachne. This is the story of a young maiden that was against to the goddess Athena because she thought that she was the best in the art of weaving and she thinks that she is more skillful than goddess athena. In the story, Athena herself was jealous because there are much praise that  Arachne get  because of her incredible gracefull skill  in weaving and there was a  time that the other people inescapable think that goddess athena and arachne has the same skills which also arachne doesn't want to compare her self into the goddess athena. Because of the jealousy and madness of athene on Arachne,and athena feel the anger because the insult of arachne made when they compete she made a pattern scenes that shows evil or unworthy actions of gods that make athena angry and she didn't let the work judge,then she turns Arachne into a brown dusty spider. From this story it is shown to us the poor quality of the goddess because god and goddesses should not be jealous especially to a mortal. Therefore the moral lesson is do not challenge someone who is better than you if you know that you don't have a chance to win and also too many pride will lead to your downfall.

I use goddess Athena as my subject because i like her, because she shown that every girl is has also a strength and ability to do things, and as a girl we can do things like men's can do we don't have a enough strength in everything but we have strategies and techniques  to do something, Athena shows a strong girl and an intelligent women. 

Another reason of why Greek mythology should be learn is all students, because Greek mythology is also  involved in the curriculum of k-12 especially it is already prove by our goverment to learn the other country culture and religion so that we must know it for our education.The reason that we must study it is because it has moral in each of the Greek myth stories. It is also the origins of many objects as well as also in every events in the world, so that students will know more about the world also about its culture and diffrent relegions.
